Lewis-System

Monoclonal agglutinating Anti-Le/a and Anti-Le/b testsera are produced from cell culture supernatants of hybridoma-cell lines. The cells are secreting antibodies of IgM-type, that reacts specific with the corresponding antigen. The testsera are used to determine whether the red blood cell possess or lack the corresponding blood group antigen.
